BUSY WEEK AND MEMORIAL DAY

Wednesday, May 25, 2022

This has been a busy week for me and so I am taking off some days until after the Memorial Day weekend

Monday morning I took Winky back home to Cary and the grandchildren.

I loved having her company, but she was a little too protective of me and tried to protect me from all of the other dogs and people who live here.

Monday night I had to take Katy to the ER and it was 3:30 in the morning when I finally arrived back home.

Today I am getting my first Reclast infusion and will probably have some flulike symptoms for a few days.

So looks like some R&R is called for.

In remembrance memorial day

Memorial Day is always a time for me to honor my dad, who was a POW in Germany in WWII, and all of the service members past and present who have served this country.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend and I will see you back here next week.

  1. Feel good Laura and I hope you have a relaxing weekend. My dad was a tailgunner in WWII, shot down twice, but never captured, thank goodness.

  2. Hope you feel better Laura with your treatment. My dad was in the Korean war and was a helicopter pilot and was shot down but lucky for him and his crew there was another helicopter right behind them to pick them up. Scary times. Happy Memorial Day. xoxo Kris

  4. Hope that your daughter is ok, and that your infusion is successful, and that you are feeling better soon, Laura. Many lose sight of the meaning of Memorial Day. Many thanks to your dad for his honorable service.

  5. I hope you will feel better soon... I don't know what that infusion is, but hope it helps. My dad was in WWII also over on Tinian Island.. he actually worked on the Enola Gay as he was an airplane mechanic... I have many photos of him there. I know when he came home, he was very depressed for at least 2 years.. I'm sure because of him working on that plane. Every Memorial Day, I remember his service and sacrifices, as with many other people I know. Take care! Marilyn
