I definitely have a love-hate relationship with hoop earrings.
Since I was a young teenager and got my first pair of hoop earrings I have been on the lookout for the perfect pair.
At that time of my life my dad was in control of my ears and so even though all of my friends were getting their ears pierced I was not allowed.
I had to make do with clip-on hoop earrings and take my word for it they were not comfortable.
To add insult to injury I lost them after a week. There went my hard-earned allowance.
Over the years I have tried many pairs.
Some were expensive and some were not.
Some were too thin, too small, too large, too heavy ......
Who knew that after all of these years I would find the perfect pair at Amazon and they are only $13.
Here is what I love about my new earrings.
They are a hollow tubed design so they are lightweight and comfortable.
They have a sturdy solid clasp.
There are four sizes to choose from.
They are hypoallergenic.
I got the gold-colored earrings, but they also come in rose gold and silver.

ReplyDeleteHa Ha I was not allowed to get my ears pierced when I was younger either. My mom said if God wanted holes in my ears he would have put them there too!!!! I love that newer ear rings have the nicer closure instead of those plastic pieces you use to have to hook into them. Now they just snap close and you do not have to worry about losing the backs. ReplyDeleteI love hoops for every day wear. I have a silver pair that is larger, and a smaller gold pair that my mom gave me 30 years ago! Amazingly, I have not lost them yet! They are both light weight, although I think the ones my mom gave me are real gold, but still light. The silver ones are hollow. They both have the easy clips so easy to put on and can't fall off. I have several other small gold ones too, but they are only for wear now and then when I think of it. I also love the hoops as they aren't dangly and don't move around when I move my head! Marilyn
