Looks like we are on the home stretch of the countdown to Christmas day.
Christmas Tree
I have really been enjoying my Christmas tree this year.
The colored lights make me feel a sense of joy.
When I walk in my front door and see the tree the first thing I do is turn on those lights.
And suddenly the room feels very festive.
I'm an old fashioned girl who likes the larger colored lights,
a tree full of ornaments I have collected over the years,
an old-world Santa tree topper,
and my mother's Mr. and Mrs. Santa Annalee dolls.
Banana Bread
I have shared my favorite banana bread recipe on my blog before, but yesterday I decided it was time for a fresh loaf.
This is a simple recipe and can be easily made gluten-free as I have done.
Tessa was surprised with a new puppy yesterday. He is half springer and half golden doodle. He is going to be a big dog. I haven't met him yet, but I did see a video of Tessa when they surprised her with him.
The joy on her face was the best. Tessa loves animals. I can't wait for us to play with him together and I will share photos when that happens.
Thanks for visiting today. I know everyone is busy with last-minute Christmas preparations, but I hope you are able to slow down and enjoy the holiday.
Beautiful tree. Merry Christmas sweet friend. Enjoy being with your wonderful family on Christmas. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOn my! I think you need a bigger tree! (Just joking with you....!!) as it looks like it is full to the brim of all of your wonderful ornaments and memories. I too love the lights and have them on all day as they are so festive. I didn't unpack my treasured ornaments this year.... I kind of wish I would have, but just didn't have the energy or motivation, but I do miss some of the ones I've had for probably 50 years or that were my mom's. At least I found the ones she gave me years and years ago, and they are there. I love your kraft country Christmas packages and the dolls. And I bet Tessa is over the top with a new puppy to cuddle and love. I think most of my stuff is done, so I can relax over the next few days and watch Christmas movies! Hugs.. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty tree! Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Lucky Tessa! She must be over the moon! Wishing you a beautiful Christmas, Laura, and I hope you continue to feel that joy of your tree's lights long after you take it down!
