The holidays are approaching, cooler weather is here, and we want something to make us feel warm and cozy
Hot chocolate or hot cocoa does that for me.
Is there a difference between hot chocolate and hot cocoa? Apparently hot cocoa is sweeter, but actually I think it may be more of where you hail from
I am as guilty as the next person when it comes to making a quick cup of hot chocolate.
I can pop a hot cocoa pod into my single serve coffee maker (no I never said that I wasn't lazy) and 30 seconds later I have hot cocoa.
However, I know that there are better cups of hot chocolate to be had.
Hot Chocolate With Chocolate Chips
Top it with homemade whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings.
French Hot Chocolate Recipe
Decadent yes but but fairly easy to make. Simply simmer all of the ingredients together then curl up with a good book.
Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate
So go out sledding with the kids and when you come in with frosty noses and toes all you have to do is pour it in some mugs, top it off with some marshmallows, and add some cookies for dunking.
I like to dunk buttered toast in my hot chocolate because that is what I did growing up in Canada.
Frozen Hot Chocolate
Not everyone lives in the frozen north some of us live in areas that are a bit warmer. When we want to enjoy a cocoa drink we might not want it to be hot. That's where frozen hot chocolate comes in.
Pssst!! We don't mind if you folks who live in the north drink it too.
Maple Sea Salt Vegan Hot Chocolate
This vegan hot chocolate might be the perfect one for me. I do love maple syrup and I have always been a fan of salty-sweet combinations.
Pop the ingredients in the blender, top with your favorite toppings, and curl up in front of the fire or in my case the YouTube fireplace.
Hot chocolate doesn't have to be boring.
Fancy or a bit more traditional there is sure to be a cup of hot chocolate for everyone.
