Simple Pleasures #13
What is the weather like where you are? I think we went straight from summer to winter here in Atlanta.
I know our winter weather is not as bad as most places, but suddenly having a high of 55 yesterday with rain, after shorts weather, felt pretty cold.
So yesterday morning I got up early and switched out my summer clothes for fall and winter clothes before heading off to the thrift store where I found this amazing hand-painted toleware tray.
I think it is the largest one I have ever seen. It will be going into my Etsy shop soon.

What I'm Reading
Have you read the Tradd Street mysteries by Karen White? The seventh and final book in the series is coming out on November 2.
Although I love all of her books, I will be particularly sad to see this series end. I love the combination of mystery and ghost stories.
The series is southern fiction with a paranormal twist set among Charleston's historic homes and the books keep you sitting on the edge of your seat.

Great finds. I could see Brenda loving those slippers how cute. Have a great weekend. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteHi Laura... thanks for reminding me that I have to do the clothes switcheroo soon. Ugh. I wrote about the glitch on blogger only mine is irregular font sizes. Technology gives me hives. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love that plaid robe! I have been looking for a sheet set that looks like winter but is not flannel! We don't get cold enough for flannel here! Enjoy your weekend...thanks for the ideas.
ReplyDeleteWe're having beautiful Fall weather here.. was 75 yesterday! The trees are just stunning with such vivid colors this year.. and I'm NOT READY for winter yet.. though snows could fly next week, who knows? We've had snow here in early October before. Our climate is so different every year, you never know what to expect. Your blog today was full of goodies. I LOVE that pumpkin bar recipe. I had to go print it off as I love everything pumpkin. I just made some paleo pumpkin muffins from Simple Mills - a mix... and they are great.. no grains which is less carbs and no grains. I love good ole' pumpkin pie the most. but these bars look yumly. I do the clothes switcheroo too.. haven't done it yet, but pretty soon I will. Take care... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteIt's cooler here, today, too, and rainy. Just wrap me up in that robe, and give me some of that comfort food, and I'll be happy!
