Ruth Stolerman, a UK interior designer, and her husband purchased a dilapidated cottage, with holes in the outside walls and rodents running around, and transformed it into a modern cottage using color and pattern.
Kitchen-Dining Area
Typical of old cottages, the downstairs consisted of a series of small rooms, which Ruth opened up into one front to back space.
She was also able to add a small extension to the area, which made room for a small dining area.
Geometric patterns on the floor and backsplash add a modern vibe to this light filled space.
I love the ladder shelves.
Living Room
As the living room is an extension of the kitchen and dining area, the yellow and blue theme is continued here.

So charming. I love neutrals but I love to see homes like this with lots of color. This is such a sweet place. Thanks for sharing. Have a good rest of the week Laura. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteAll the color is just beautiful, but it's that master bedroom brick wall that caught my eye. Wow!!
