HOME DECOR PARISIAN STYLE

When I was searching for an idea for today's post I came across Parisian home decor and how it is currently trending.

This definitely piqued my curiosity as I have been interested in French country decor, but hadn't thought about Parisian as a decor style.

As Paris is the home to all things couture, this shouldn't have come as a surprise to me, but sometimes I need a bit of a nudge. 

Parisian decor can be either traditional and classic or modern and updated. Either way, Parisians look to the past when designing their decor. 

Parisian Style Living Rooms

Velvet sofas are a central piece for this style. 

This velvet sofa is paired with a more traditional design, including an oriental rug and gold gilt mirror.

This second living room is an example of a more contemporary and modern Parisian look. Contemporary artwork and a mid century style coffee table complement the modern style blue velvet sofa. 

Parisian Bedroom Decor

I wish I could open my balcony doors and smell fresh baguettes in the morning, but as that isn't happening, I may add some of these ideas to my bedroom. 

This dreamy Parisian bedroom combines Crisp white sheets, curtains, bedding, and walls with beautiful wood flooring for a classic meets modern look.

Touches of pink, shelves full of books, and an old world fireplace create a cozy Parisian bedroom. What a beautiful room to curl up with a good book. 

Dining Parisian Style 

Proving that you don't have to live in Paris to enjoy Parisian style, this New York dining room oozes French flair with velvet covered chairs, a gorgeous chandelier, and shiny parquet floors.

This Parisian style dining room has a definite classic Parisian decor with beautiful wall coverings and traditional furniture.
