Yesterday when I was out running errands I noticed how many trees were blossoming and starting to leaf out.
This morning I woke up to this.
Ten inches of snow.
More snow than we had for the rest of the winter combined.
I dread seeing what this weather has done to the blossoming trees.
At least it won't be around for long. It will be back up to possibly 70 degrees by this coming up weekend.
Until then I think I will be hibernating.
I was wondering the same thing, Laura! Starting at midnight, we will be looking at 12 to 18 inches! Ugh. Hope you're staying warm.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, at least with our storms nothing was getting ready to bloom yet....hopefully it will melt quickly and the trees will be fine....fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteHow amazing! We watched the weather last night and saw a lot of snow was falling where you live! We were wondering if it would make it to Asheville and family we have there. Hope you're warm inside! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLaura, I am shocked. That is a lot of snow. We had flurries today and will for two more days. Then Thursday will 50 degrees and sunny. March has been a crazy month so far. Hope you had not put all your warm things away yet. Stay warm, blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeletePoor blossom. Hibernate sounds the right idea.
ReplyDeleteWe only had an inch or so, here in central KY. No school for us and it all melted away today.
ReplyDeleteIt's so strange the way the weather seems to be in reverse. There's tons of snow happening in the south and here in Northern Indiana the weather feels Spring-like, which almost never happens at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather! Stay warm and I'm sure Spring will come soon??
ReplyDeleteHi Laura,
ReplyDeleteThis weather has been so crazy this winter. Little teases of Spring and then winter rears it ugly head again. I will be happy to see Spring come and stay. You captured some pretty pictures of the snow. Have a good week. Lucky you to see 70's by the weekend. Enjoy that.
Kris
Hi Laura. Same here. Snow, snow, and more snow. Hope spring finally springs next week. ha haha Stay warm and cozy. Susan
ReplyDeleteI never even thought Kentucky got much snow! That's pretty amazing! When I lived south of here in central Oregon, at a higher elevation, we got about 10 inches in April a few years ago! Boy was I shocked and DID NOT like it! We've had a pretty mild winter here, other than a couple of weeks of single digit temps. Hope your white stuff goes away soon and that it didn't hurt the baby buds and blossoms. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteOh my! so much snow. We are expecting some snowflake for the coming weekend. That will be twice in the month, very unusual in Brittany!
