Come on. Fess up. I know you have.
Ha!! I knew it. I knew that I wasn't the only one.
This girl knows exactly how it feels. Hair flying everywhere, while you hang your head over a fence hoping someone will come and pat you on the head and tell you what to do.
Don't you love that word?
Discombobulated. It so perfectly describes that feeling of confusion that we all feel sometimes.
You know, when you can't figure out which side is up and which side is down. When you feel like a wilting flower whose petals are slowly dropping off one by one.
Well I am here to tell you that I am in a crisis of discombobulation.
Maybe crisis is a strong word, but I am definitely feeling like my head is spinning.
I am trying to do too many things, and in the process I am not accomplishing much.
This morning I am going to see if I can salvage my booth, because it definitely seems to have crashed and burned.
After that I am going to have lunch with friends, and then spend some time
I think I need an exorcism to drive out Mr. Discombobulation. He's beginning to really annoy me.
Laura... my middle name is discombobulate! Have fun with your friends and good luck with your booth.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katie. I am glad to know that I am not alone.
ReplyDeleteI love that word and I love that it IS a real word! Take a deep breath! You will figure it out!
ReplyDeleteoh no. hopefully the day will bring some clarity for you. When I don't know if i am coming or going i do nothing and then start all over. have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite words and, yes, I know exactly how you feel!
ReplyDeleteI know just what you mean. Today I'm waiting for the humidity to get below 85 degrees so I can apply the Gardz. It rained all night.

I love that word but not feeling like that and I do feel like that. Some mysterious health issues are bothering me and not sure where to turn for answers. Feeling so out of sorts. I tend to bury my head in a book when this happens! I hope you can salvage your booth. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura...Oh yeah. I can identify with the meaning of that word, for sure. I think most of us can. As for trying ways of supplementing income, every time something bombs, I just try another new way. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Hope you have a delightful weekend. Laura, I don't do Google Plus so sometimes I have a hard time accessing your blog. I always go to blogspot to find you. Susan
ReplyDeleteI think we ALL have those moments of life, Laura. I call it LIMBO for myself. When I just feel like I am 'stuck' and can't move forward. Hope you can figure out a way to supplement your income. It is tough when you are scared about not having enough money to live comfortably. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYup I know that feeling, Laura! Hope you had a great time with your friends :)

ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect post for now. I am cleaning out a barn for an auction with three generations of personal stuff. Overwhelming is an understatement. It seems not as much is sold for a nice price on Etsy, eBay etc. I am finding several pieces of carnival glass amount all the boxes. Have no idea if just to leave them in auction or try to sell them elsewhere? I have had a thought that maybe you could FaceTime with your counseling services. There is much need in the country right now and you would not need to keep up a booth of items to sell. Just a thought.
One day at a time. Olsnthevwirk amd with the plan!
ReplyDeleteLaura I have been living in that state for some time so I get it!!! Happy Sunday and have a wonderful weekend.

I know that Mr. quite well and have even mentioned him on MY blog! I do have some days like that (sometimes weeks) and I feel so out of sorts, out of whack as I tell my hubby. I hate feeling that way... don't know whether I'm coming or going or what to do or what not to do, etc. Even making lists (which is my "go to" de-discombobulation!) doesn't help at those times. When we have too much going on in our brains, I think that happens. My answer sometimes is to just STOP EVERYTHING and either go read or work on my crafts. That calms me and clears my mind. As for extra income, I have been trying for years to figure that out. Have done craft sales, given classes, tried home parties (like Signature Homestyles and Close to My Heart), selling via an Etsy shop, doing custom orders, making digital photobooks.. and most recently, having an Etsy shop. My verdict is that none of those really earned me extra money, just ALOT of stress! I had to spent more to keep up the business than I was making. I finally got a part-time bookkeeping job here in town where I live, which does earn me some much needed extra income, but it is also STRESSFUL and have been thinking of quitting it. Oh how nice it would be not to have to worry about having enough money to live on! We are scraping the bottom of our bucket when it comes to paying all of our expenses, insurance, etc. I wish someone out there had a magic solution for it, other than winning the lottery. Hugs to you... Marilyn
