I'm pretty desperate, so am willing to try pretty much anything.
Apparently this worked for her once when she had pneumonia and two rounds of antibiotics didn't get rid of it. She also has friends who swear by it, and as I am desperate after six weeks I am willing to try pretty much anything.
It's pretty simple. Slice up a clove of garlic and put it between two apple slices. Chew away making sure to bite into the garlic.
If it doesn't get rid of the infection, it will probably drive away my friends and family.
My friend told me that if it doesn't work to tie it around my neck to ward off weirdos.
I'll let you know what happens and if I become ostracized.
I think it will work, you may try ginger as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I need to get some more ginger root to put in my juice.
DeleteLaura, Please if this doesn't work...get to the dr. You can let it go too long. This new stuff going around is scary. I am thinking of you and wishing you the best. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susie. I have been twice, but will go again if necessary.
DeleteLet us know! I know garlic is so good for you and my hubby actually likes it raw! Take care!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a a fan of raw garlic, but the apple seems to help.
DeleteNot sure I could bit into raw garlic but gosh I hope it works and you feel better soon. I'm starting on my 2nd week of this flu and it's horrible! Big Hugs (even if you smell like garlic)
ReplyDeleteGosh, Linda. I hope you get over it soon. For such a mild winter this has been a terrible one for respiratory illnesses. Sending hugs your way, garlic and all. :)
DeleteHey it is all natural stuff so what harm can come from trying this. Hope it works. Hope you start to feel better.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
Yes, doubtful it will kill me. LOL
DeleteWow--well---let us know if it works. I hope you are on something heavy duty to get rid of the infection though. Hope you have a good weekend and feel well enough to enjoy your sister's visit. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI have been through two heavy duty rounds of antibiotics, which really didn't help so I think it is viral.
DeleteHello Laura...So sorry to hear that you are sick. That is not fun. I sure hope the garlic and apple slices work. Don't know if I could do it, though. Whenever I eat anything with garlic in it, I run for the parsley. ha haha Take care and I sure hope you feel better soon. Susan
ReplyDeleteI love cooked garlic, but I have to admit that the aw garlic is a bit much.
DeleteGet some Potassium Iodide (not iodine, but IODIDE), usually can only get the strong stuff from a naturopath. It kills germs really well! I've had to do 3 rounds of antibiotics before, with walking pneumonia. Try also green olives stuffed with whole garlic cloves.. they are SO GOOD and lots of garlic too! Good luck.. hope you can kick this thing! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips. I love olives so I think I will definitely try that.
DeleteHope it works
ReplyDeleteCindy
Thanks, Cynthia.
DeleteNot sure about the apples, but I have read that garlic is a natural antibiotic. BE WELL!
ReplyDeleteI think the apples are meant to cut the bitterness of the garlic. I also put some raw garlic in my pasta.
DeleteI'm so sorry you're still sick after all this time. Sounds viral if antibiotics haven't helped. Hopefully, some natural remedies such as what you're trying will do some good! Are you taking vitamin D regularly? And do you have an essential oil diffuser? Both these things can help, too.
ReplyDeleteGarlic is an antibiotic. You may want to remember to drink lots of water to flush the toxins out. Other things to consider are taking a garlic enema - or garlic poultice on the bottom of your feet or over lungs to draw toxins out.
