Just one of those crazy days.
You know the kind I mean. If something can possibly go wrong it will.
The toast burns. The printer won't print. You get a huge estimate for car repairs on a car that may not be worth as much as the repairs. Your ninety-year-old mother calls to tell you she has the stomach flu.
And then there is the lemon. You know the one I am talking about. The organic one. The one you just paid extra for so it will be free of nasty pesticides.
You open the car door to take out the groceries and the bag turns upside down onto the driveway. Out rolls the lemon. Yes, that lemon. The organic, more expensive one. As you watch it roll across the parking lot, you think that maybe, just maybe that lemon isn't so organic anymore.
SIGH!!!
Some days just aren't quite as simple and serene as you would like.
laughing about the lemon, but sorry for your mom.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteI hope you don't have any more of those days any time soon! Also hoping you mom is feeling better,
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barb. I may have to force her to go to the doctor on Monday.
DeleteNo, they're not. But we "roll" with the lemons. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
ReplyDeleteBrenda
That was a good on e :)
DeleteLaura, I usually have those days, they all end in 'Y" ...I will not even take lemon with my tea or water...for fear that the restaurant hasn't washed them..ewweee. You know they have rolled on the kitchen floor. LOL. I like your chicken picture. Hope you day straightens out. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI never get lemons out either, and I'm thinking I might now need a hazmat suit to handle this one.
DeleteOh my, what a day indeed. Wishing your Mom a quick recovery!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Thanks, Linda. She seems to be feeling much better.
DeleteSorry to hear about that lemon AND your mom!
ReplyDeleteThe lemon AND Mom both have survived :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, Debby. Much better day today.
DeleteSorry to hear that you had a bad day. I've had days like that too, when everything that could go wrong seems to go wrong. That's when I think I shouldn't have bothered getting out of bed that day!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a feeling like crawling back into bed day.
DeleteI'm actually laughing, not because I'm not sympathetic, but because I know exactly the kind of day you mean. My advice: sit on the floor and cry for a minute, then come back up and wash that lemon with Marseilles soap! That's the only thing to do ;)
ReplyDeleteThe lemon episode actually was pretty funny. Kind of like a slo mo movie scene.
DeleteI am sure your sunday will be better. enjoy that lemon!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura. My Sunday is better.
DeleteHope no lemons are dropped today! Enjoy your Superbowl Sunday!
