and one step back
I'm writing this in the car on my way back to Atlanta from North Carolina. First post ever on my phone, so not sure how it will turn out.
I had my hearing yesterday and the court ruled in my favor, but I think she is planning to appeal. That would add at least another month on to the process. in the meantime my stuff is apparently in her garage. At least that is what she said until the magistrate ruled in my favor. Then she said, in that case I don't have her furniture. REALLY???
So the highlight of my trip was taking little Lovie to the beach for the first time. I will have to share photos later as I can't figure out how to upload them from my phone.

I'm glad you got some vindication, at least, and hope things work out in your favor in the end!
ReplyDeleteGoodness... what kind of woman is this? What does she have to appeal?... if in one breath she says she has "your" furniture, then she needs to produce it or cough up the money to cover it, plus all your legal and traveling costs to go through this... I am hoping everything goes well...Cheers~
ReplyDeleteConfusing. Too bad the court didn't didn't escourt you that minute to the garage. If your stuff isn't there now I would think that they would know she might pull that. Good luck. You so deserve to be compensated.
ReplyDeleteDoing the happy dance for you to at least find out that your stuff is in her garage...sad to hear that she might appeal...what's her problem?
ReplyDeleteI so hope this works out in the end.
Jen
Well it's a start! I'm so proud of you for making her account for your stuff! Hang in there!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
gosh I hope this soon ends for you, what a stressful situation, at least you had the beach,
ReplyDeleteI hope it all works out positively,
Laura,
ReplyDeleteI am coming in late on this. I am new to your blog so I am not too sure what is happening but it sounds stressful and I hope you get your things back. This person that has your stuff sounds like a sad and angry person. Good luck.
Kris
I am happy they ruled in your favor. And maybe your stuff is in her garage. I'm so hoping you can get it back. But what an odd person she is, and what a betrayal.
ReplyDeleteThat's a huge step forward-your probably afraid to trust the decision-I don't blame you.
ReplyDeleteCongrats for the moment and I hope the sheriff or someone can go with you to pick up your stuff-obviously she was lying the second time. I will be praying for you.
I've been thinking about you! Glad the hearing went your way! Hope she won't appeal.
ReplyDeleteIt is a big step forward but I don't understand this woman.....does she have your things or not and what is wrong with her??? I don't understand people in this world sometimes!!! I am hoping for you that everything works out.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
It must be comforting somewhat that people believed you by ruling in your favour... I know you have it in you to fight again if she wants to appeal. Can't wait to see the beach photos!
ReplyDeleteWell, if she says she has your furniture, I sure hope you get it back! Good luck with this!
ReplyDeleteHang in there pretty lady :) I can't wait to see the beach shots either!
